Hi,

Just wondering what sort of download rates I should be getting from a 1mb Broadband connection with NTL. I can get up to 120kb/sec but no higher. But i see people speaking of 200/300kb/sec so i'm a bit concerned. Unless they mean kbit/sec of course.

Think those people are telling lies because a 1Mbit connection can't sustain that speed. 120 is correct

For reference divide the speed by 8.

For example 512 / 8 = 64

or multiply yours by 8

120 * 8 = 960kbps

About as good as you can expect
