I have had this working before, but I cannot remember how I did it.

Basically, it is for student accounts. They use various machines around the college, and we do not want to add the printers in each users profile. We want the accounts to use the locally installed printer. I have done this before on other accounts, but I cant remember how I did it.

Any suggestions?

quick search found...

To have the printer show for all users. Copy a profile that has the printer installed over the default user profile in C:\Documents and Settings\Default User. Every time a profile is created it uses this. In Windows 2000 printer settings are per user rather than per computer.

ha ha I know where AD is, and policy.!!!

I thought I stated, but re-reading I haven't, I have looked through the policy and cannot find the option. This is where I thought I did it last time. Hence this post asking where the option is located!
