Anyone got the Soundblaster Live Platinum Live Drive working on XP ? Mine never seems to respond to the remote

Probably batteries have run out but thought I'd check to see if it definately works ok.

Yep and it works really well even with the first set of drivers loaded from the CD. I updated the drivers as a precaution from the Creative website. How does it look on the Creative Diagnostics program? I'm sure you'll have checked it but just an idea.

Must be just me then. Have I got it connected right ? There's one power cable to the drive then one IDE type cable to the soundcard. There are other connection pins on the drive but I don't have a cable to connect to that one, should I have ?

I just put on the latest drivers, maybe I'll try the old ones first too.

Cheers

Another stupid one to point out but you may have forgot...Have you set it as the sound system default device?

Yep, think so, where do you mean ? I disabled the onboard sound on my NForce board as it was distorted. It now only picks up the new card.

BTW if you haven't got the cd with the Creative Diagnostics program etc etc I'd be happy to burn you a copy.

Yeah the cabling sounds alright. The power split cable (to system power supply) and the dark grey flat cable. There is also an optional digital din cable which you don't have to connect (but you may as well)

Cool

Cool, thanks for your help. I'll have a play about and see if I can get it going. How do I know for sure that the Live Drive working ? There should be a light coming from the Optical out and response from the IR control ?
