One of my colleagues has a laptop, she got given because the keyboard was acting up (different letters were appearing, if you typed an "A" an "E" would appear etc and if she typed a letter it would repeat loads of times).
If I plugged in a USB keyboard this would work fine and has done now for the last few months.
If she tries to type a letter now on the USB keyboard numbers appear.
I have told her to do an online virus check, any other ideas.

I doubt it's a virus, sounds more like a hardware fault than software to me.

Yea, what though, both the laptop keyboard and the USB keyboard are doing it.
