Low(er) sales than your average ATX desktop. It's nothing something most users are after is it?

Spose u have a point there Chris lol - The only reason i want some is because my kids seem to like turning the towers on and off and think its a game... So my first purchase was a 19" rack - and thought that proper rack mounted pcs would be a better / smarter look. I know I am a tart lol

Maybe one option is a tower chassis that has a cover over the power button?

I know my SuperMicro SC730 (IIRC) at work has this.

Scan have 2Us at £135+VAT.

Or maybe ring Acme (meep meep!) to see what they want?

Alternatively, do what I did to a tower & remove the actual switch from the front panel & secrete it at the back of the unit.

This was for a cheap server that had a couple of times been knocked off

Therefore, pressing the button had naf all reaction

Bear in mind 1U's won't fit 'normal' boards in as DIMMs are too high, server boards have them at a funny (30 degree?) angle.

<viz top tips)
Buy a shelf for the rack and put your standard tower case on its side. You now have the look of an expensive rack mounted pc for a couple of quid
