I have a shot of the above from a mate and have a prob re the pic on screen.
I have downloaded the most up to date driver and app. from the site and all went well ie. tuning ect. but the pic appears as if it is split 5 pics into 1 screen and is seperated all the way top to bottom by lines ?

Anyone had similar probs or know how to fix ?
Intel and running XP.

I like the idea of this and the fact it works perfectly for him makes this ver frustrating.

If you are after Freeview TV on your PC and don't mind a PCI card I can highly recommend the Nebula Electronics DigiTV card.

The best software support on the planet (usually get replies to emails within the hour) and it is a British product, by a British company with British software

See: Nebula PCI Card

They do a USB widget, but I've no idea if it is any good.

Cheers

Ian

I'm watching BBC1 on my WinTV USB right now

W2000 with SP2, USB into an Intel 815e motherboard.

Have you tried Hauppuage tech support? They helped me out in the early days of W2000.

Dave,

Generally speaking, excellent. If you record in "silent" mode (i.e. minimised, no sound) it actually consumes very little CPU. Playback via their software is very smooth and I'm at pains to see a difference between live TV and playback.

However, I don't use it very often for recording as I've got a Pace Twin on my main TV for recording stuff. I generally have the card for watching/listening to News 24 etc. while working, or radio channels in the evening.

Cheers

Almost got myself a Haupage WinTV Nova-T last week.

Has anyone got a comparison on both that and the Nebula ???

I know the Nova-T doesn't have video in which is quite important to me.

Anyone ???

Ian.
