whilst working on a server, the power was lost to our main data store, power restored but it is doing a check disk, is there anyway to skip/cancel this as its going to take a few days to complete.!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo over a 1000 unhappy people at the mo. ooh ****

Not sure you can as with no proper shutdown you risk data corruption.

AMAZINGLY, its finished and booted up without any data in bad sectors. !!! F@ck me, that was close, i was nearly writing me resignation. Microsoft did recommend to let it run, or you could of cancelled it by recycling the server and boot to floppy and you can skip the chkdsk process. But...could risk corruption of data.!! we survived this one, now its time to look at the power issues.
