I've been looking into a lot of wireless gear over the last month so I make the right choice for my eggsbox.

I've just been conected to BT Broadband and I'm in the position to buy the 802.11b kit now. I really just wanted to run it past any network wizards out there to make sure I'm not sticking my foot in it

I'm going to use a Linksys WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge
to connect to the Xbox and a Dlink 604+ for my Modem/WAP/Router

Any thoughts

Question

With this kit (or similar) hooked up to a shared net connection could you then surf the web on your Xbox and copy files between it and a PC?

Cheers,

Hocking your XBOX wired or/wirelessly to your home network would allow you to communicate to it. The XBOX jsut needs the capabilites to support the features you want. Therefore the answer is as follows No and Yes

A standard XBOX - No

A modded XBOX with 3rd party software - Yes.
