Does anyone know how to check which dll files are registered on an XP pc.? I seem to recall that there is a diagnostic program that analyses all the dll's and the state of their registration?

Any Gurus out there able to help me

Cheers

Mark

Jods,

Do you mean registered COM dlls as opposed to just system dlls that export functions?

Using something like VB or Delphi (I know you can in Delphi not sure about VB) you could get a list. Other than that (under Win2K not sure about XP) you could look under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID which will have a load of nodes which contain GUIDs typically something like {00000010-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4} and under this you'll have the InprocServer32 name and path of the dll and the progid if you were say going to create an instance of that COM object.

Hope that helps ???

Gary
