Anyone got any idea why when sometimes I go through the 'Turn off my computer' routine in XP Pro it restarts instead?

Yeah me to. on one machine you can go to power options and make it so . on my sons rig there is no option ?? what gives homies

Also depends how the Power Saving features are set in your BIOS. The settings here also effect the options within windows.
