Got any photos of installation regarding bracket cable etc?
What bracket is best to use? Going to be using Compaq Ipaq 3830 with TOM TOM 2 s/ware in a MY01.
Cheers,
Mark.

Vehicle Specific fixing attachment - Circa £16.00
iPAQ Holder = Circa £17.00

I also use checkPOInt for the speed camera database
Very Pleased with it all. Works well

cheers... that was a cigar site! Its really a dot com
They dont sell on the net either as too popular they say. I think by the time I would have had to upgrade my memory and bought maps it gets a bit pricey. will stick to the old fashioned map for now.

With the tom tom software can you navigate from a street in say Winchester to a street in London?. I looked into these a while ago when they first came out (can't remember which software) and you had to nav to the town, then when you got there switch to another mode to get the local street.
Ive got a Blaupunkt satnav in the car at the moment but its getting on a bit now. The new fixed units are still thousands so was wondering if the PDA option is worth it. (I've got a PDA anyhow) spo would just need the cradle thingy and software.

Hi Andy
The simple answer is yes you can. All my guys carry PDAs and it makes our lives really easy.
I recently did a 7 site install for a customer in bits of Britain that I had never been too and I found places on Industrial Estates and side streets that I would never have found had it not been for my PDA, a roadangel and TomTom.
It might even help me find that site in Dundee (hint hint

Willie,
I have a Road Angel and have been trying to find out which PDA, software and cable(from RA to PDA). As yet have had no luck.
Be appreciated if you could share your knowledge.

I have to say that tomtom is truly a superb navigation tool.
The new version (2) can navigate you from house number in one street to a house number in a street at the other end of the country.
The new 3D mapping is as good as I have seen.
It also has great POI (points of interest), restaurants, petrol stations, railway, cashpoints etc etc
I also use the safety camera database that is equally up with the databases I used in other specific solutions.
All in all tomtom is a bargain at £90??????????? and better than any true sat nav i have seen for £1500-2000K etc

Boss just bought TTN2 & a GPS Receiver, 128mb MM & a holder for my XDA ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Well, I've got to wait for TT2 but I've got TT1 already, but had a play on his - excellent![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Got it mounted between my SECS & instrument binacle - a "bit" obscured but not really a prob as can see the roads. Got the GPS receiver under my SECS binacle, so hidden & all in all a nice tidy install.
Now all I need is a handsfree for an XDA that has a mic that is not totally muffled
- anyone?
