PC to Mac pictures - best way?

I've just taken some pictures on my digi cam to be used in an advert in the local paper for the missus new hair salon.
When I spoke to the paper they said it would be better for them if the pictures could be in Mac format. What's the best format to save the pictures in so that the newspaper office can use them, they mentioned a Mac Jpeg file but I don't seem to have the option on either Photoshop or Corel Draw to save it as this.
Lastly am I right in thinking I can cut the images onto a CD and the Mac's will be able to read it?
