Pros 2X DVD-R, 1X DVD-RW, 16X CD-R and 10X CD-RW
quality hardware writes DVD data and video discs
compatible; works with all major CD/DVD software
Cons bundled software ranges from poor to adequate
The Bottom Line - The Toshiba SD-R5002 DVD writer is a good quality component that performs as advertised, with the ability to write recordable CD and DVD media. However, poor software mars the total package.
Basically looking for a cheap first DVD writer.Fitted about £180.Want it for copying dvd's and cd's,own use only.Probably only a couple of films a week at the most and some cdr's.
Also i understand 2x dvd-r's are pretty cheap compared to faster speeds.ie 4x.
Is there anything obvious i'm missing?
REVIEW Here.

rpc1 means that the firmware doesn't care about region codes type of thing ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Then the only way the computer can enforce region codes would be in the player software, and there a programs to reset/set these
