I have an Epson Colour Photo 870 printer hooked up directly to my PC.
This has been working normally for months. Now it is "playing up" by churning the paper through one sheet at a time until all are ejected. It also sometimes states that "a communication error has occurred".
I have changed the cable with no joy and Epson Customer support were as useful as T***s on a bull! Only thing they suggested was check BIOS.
My own thought is to completely de-install the printer and load again from scratch. Is this likely to solve the problem, or has anyone got other ideas, please?

Usually a sign of corrupt drivers, or you have more than one printer installed on the PC and are trying to print to the wrong one.

I agree, does sound like a driver problem.
Well its certainly the cheapest solution if it works.
