MSDN jiffy bag arrived this morning with Windows 2003 Server (Standard, Enterprise and Web). At bloody last, thought it was never going to happen.

I've read SQL 2000 does run on it but is as stable as IanW after 1/2 a shandy

mmmm we have a 2003 server with exchange 2003 (titanium) its actually quite nice....

Opening a book on SP1 would be a laugh - in a geeky sort of way - I reckon June 15th!!

Having got it all up and running, I actually think it is OK and very stable. Didn't manage to pull it down with my little "test programs" at all, so I'll go for August as well.

Of course, there could be some security holes big enough to drive a bus through

Web version is perfect for my test bed system, so that is going to stay on my test box.

How about October time? As many corps won't touch an MS product until SP1, maybe it will be released a little earlier than we would all expect. October release gives youjust enough time to buy W2003 before quarter end!!!

Apparently the Hotpatch facility is quite good but SP's won't be using this method of install.
