Everyday I get 2 e-mails from "various names usually containing Peter"@btopenworld.com
The mail tells me that I have received a card from BlueMountainCard. My ISP block the attachment and tell me that it contains the virus W32.HLLW.Cult.B@mm virus
So annoying
Ignored it for a while hoping it would stop, let my ISP and Norton take care of it in the meantime.
Added the name to blocked senders list in Outlook, however the "from" name changes.
Replied but mail got bounced back
Sent mail to bluemountain with no reply
Any ideas?
Mike

If the subject line always contains the same message, you should be able to set up a rule which says:
"If subject line contains: Hi, I sent you an eCard from BlueMountain.com delete it from the server"
"If subject line contains: Hi, I sent you an eCard from BlueMountain.com delete it from the server"

Strangley enough I got one of these last week from thegrants@btopenword and I know someone called Peter Grant who had a btopenworld account. Lost touch with him a few years ago though.
This hoax, like the SULFNBK.EXE Warning hoax, tries to encourage you to delete a legitimate Windows file from your computer. Jdbgmgr.exe is the file to which the hoax refers, and it is the Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java. The Jdbgmgr.exe file may be installed when you install Windows.

Whilst the one saying you should delete Jdbgmgr.exe is definitely a hoax, W32.HLLW.Cult@mm is not - it is a genuine virus.
