I have pc upstairs and laptope downstairs on ntl broardband ,the pc is connected to the modem through rj45s which will stay wired.
I want the laptop wireless,Which would be the best setup to run both wired and wireless and what make to buy.

I've got a Netgear MA314 wireless router wired to the cable modem and PC plus a Netgear MA401 PCMCIA wireless card in the lappy. Works a treat (once I had upgraded the firmware on the router
)

I got a DLink 714 - works fine with my NTL cable - it has 4 wired ports & wireless - it also has a print server - so parallel out of the router & software to install on the PC's.

Another one for you. Buffalo do a great wireless router and pcmcia package. I bought mine for roughly £140 all in from More COmputers. Delivered in 48 hours.
