I was just gonna post the exact same question ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I got Adobe Premier, been trying for the last few hours to add a transition effect, the bloke I work with showed me how this afternoon, took him seconds and it looked very good.
I think Adobe is one of the best, it's just not that easy to use until you get the hang of things. Which I havn't yet![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Anyone know of any good dummies guide sites for DV editing?
DV sure eats into your HDD space aswell![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Try a 30 day eval of Premier from the adobe site.

Ulead Videostudio is good if your new to DV editing. You can also make your own DVD's with it, if you have a DVD burner that is.
Or if you have Windows Xp spend no money as it comes with Movie Maker, a not bad basic program.

Mega, to add a transition effect, overlap the 2 movies (need to be on 2 differen video lines, and drag the transition onto the transition bar (it will then expand to meet the size of the overlap) click the timeline next to the transition, and click return to render the transition (you will need to do this each time you add/change a transition)
Took me ages to first figure out how to do it, but am now finding it quite easy!
