Question

Probably a bit of a long shot but if anyone uses Money I've got a bit of a niggle that i want to sort out.

When you start the program it should take you to 'My Money Home Page' which gives you a summary of your accounts/balances etc.

This is all good except that my main current account balance is always several days in the future. I.e if a Direct Debit is due to come out on the 25th - the balance will reflect this debit on the 20th. This is bloody annoying.

Anyone know what option prevents this?

Long shot but thought i'd see.

Marc

Are you using Money 2001 or a different version?

I have Money 2001 and that's 9.0.

Good program, just drives me up the wall when the cash flow decides I'll keep paying my credit cards off until I'm credit on them

Sounds like you have auto bill payment on. If you turn it off then it'll reflect the real balance. But you'll have to settle the bills manually on the date you pay.

Is it a good program to use? Hopefully have a house going through this friday with my fiancee - and it would be good to track finances.

Good program? IMO, yes.

I haven't missed or been late with a CC payment since I've been using it two three or four years.

I enter my transactions manually which takes a little bit longer, but it makes I'm double checking things so I spot any over charging or strange payments I want to query.

Some of the graphs make you cry though - the one that shows you how much money you blew on petrol for the scooby generates an or two.
