Question

Anyone tried it ? Is it worth the xtra ?

Its just I'm thinking about swapping my home PC (I've always been a scsi man myself) and wondered if I should have a go with this new technology.

Comments.

150 quid for 36Gb's of storage that's a big price difference IMHO, although for the slower drives it's a bit better

Yes if you go 10k but I was talking 7.2k. Compared to a 10k SCSI drive you are looking at very similar prices if not lower. 10K SATA is pretty new on the street - buy a decent sized 7.2k now and wait for the price of the 10K'ers to come down. Unless of course your a speed/benchmark freak (si where are u?)

U cant really go wrong with the WD Raptor at £130. Ok its small but if u use it for your main OS partition then save all ur other crap on your other drives. Id get one if I had the dosh.
