I have just ordered a new PC for work - a dell Celeron 2Ghz.

128 meg ram
30 g HDD
on board Lan ,graphics and sound
XP home

no monitor as we already have one.

£290 inc VAT and deliverey.

here http://www.euro.dell.com/countries/u...dimen_2350.htm

If you are not playing games this will murder it,It all depends on what you want to do with it. All you need is a monitor - 17" CRT about £85, or TFT about £250-300.

if you want to write Cd's allow another £35-£45 for a writer.

If I were you I would avoid these bundles as they throw in a load of sh1te you don't need, such as the Lexmark printer - they are ok untill you need to replace the ink carts - reckon on £15 to £20 each - black and colour.

You would be better buying a cheepie epson C42 for about £45 - you can replace the carts for about £3-4 each - and if the printer goes t1ts up they are cheap enough to replace.

cheers,

Mike.

FWIW, the Lexmark X75 MFD (Multi Function Device) has a trade price of £55 to £60.
