Unhappy

yeah ok so a new pc is in order, im going to but not for some time yet so...

ok got a PII 350 on a 66bus m/b. ATA 100&133 HDs. Running XP

The ATA100 drives work fine but the 133 runs really slow. Well it might not be the drive but the cpu, as it regularily visits 100%. I dont think its XP or the cpu as its been fine up to now. Its since this new hd that the cpu is going to the max. I cant see what progs/processes are happening to cause the maxing out.

Is there a prog i can use that can identify these stresses?

I trying to sort these probs out only to be stumped now by an irritating floppy disk error All seems ok but doesnt pick up the drive, an i/o error on device. When looking at the properties of it, ive notice the file system of RAW??? is this always the case? Or perhaps its not the device, is i/o error the device or M/B?

How do i sort this out apart from going out & buying a friggin floppy drive you hardly ever use....
