GT is usually set on tracks with only a small element of off-road. Also, there isn't a machine that could real time render those graphics with the exception of very top end PC's. Good pictures though but I think were a few years yet from graphics of that quality on a console that still render smoothly with no pop up.

Could be from the intro.
I have read that it is going to be a step-up in the ps2's programming, possibly spread over three DVD rom's in order to have enough space for all the tracks/Cars etc.
Guess e'l have to wait and see, in the meantime, get this month's EVO mag. It's in there!!

Failing that, you could always watch the (admittedly shaky handycam) footage from E3, pop over to http://gamesradar.msn.co.uk/download...372&pagetype=2

I'm pretty sure the top is a real PS2 shot (blocky, funny dust effect) - still good though
.
The second is obv a promo shot (pre-rendered on a PC) - even looks A4 layout for Magazine covers....

SB, just look at the PS1 though. After 3 years of being out the graphics were so much better than when it was first released.
I honestly think GT4 will blow GT3 away graphically. Just a shame that they wont add damage modelling in.
Multiplayer GT4 will be a pain as people will just knock you off all the time as they know that no harm will come to them if they do.
Just wish Polyphony would listen.

I doubt GT4 will have multiplayer options (beyond 2 player) as the firewire connection has been discontinued in newer versions of the PS2, currently available in Japan.
PS2 module components have been simplified in the nest iteration. To cut costs and to better compete with Xbox module price cuts.

GT4 is being marketed as an online game, so AFAIK it will concentrate heavily on this aspect.
I cant see Sony ignoring the online gaming thing - broadband in the UK is expanding, more people now have connections, and there is a market there as long as they dont rip us off.
I hope they dont can it anyways
