I keep getting it on google,hotmail, and a few others.

Any ideas - noboby has denied me access - because (and I use this term VERY losely) I am our puter man at work.

A quick search on Google (sorry to rub it in ) suggests it might be a corrupt dial-up connection, or incorrect proxy settings. I can't find an explanation of the cause of the error, but it suggests it may be the proxy blocking something, eg if you search for cmd.exe which is a means of breaking into a system, you will get the error message. ACLs are usually implemented on routers.
