Question

Not quite sure what you mean. So you can connect with FlashFXP and see all the X-Box partitions . . . Can you then transfer files using FlashFXP to the X-Box ?

Ah, maybe the firewall on your router is blocking the necessary incoming port ?

Ok just connected it to my shuttle via a cross over cable and it all works fine so it's something to do with my router, anyone got a router and xbox online.
