We used VNC for a long while but eventually the security Bods said "get that POS off of those boxes" ... Try Dameware ... You can push the install and remove on exit. It rules, http://www.dameware.com/
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Massive thumbs up for VNC here. I use RealVNC but might have to check out TightVNC.
Why do I like VNC? Well, for a start, it's totally cross platform, so I can control my complete test suite of macs and pc's from my desktop, plus I can remote control all my live servers too. Pity there is no server/client for mac by Real or Tight, but hey, RedStone Software's OSXvnc and VNCViewer are really cool. Only bummer is not having the built in webserver side of things, which was really cool about pre Mac OS X VNC clients, made giving Web Demos much easier!
If I needed to do the complete control and distrubution thing I'd go for Farallon's Timbuktu, used it for many years and its great, and cross platform, but AFAIK it does not allow you to use a web browser as a viewer
