Hook a games console up to a monitor?

I have a game cube and would like to hook it up to my 19" CRT monitor as I think I will get better resolution than the telly. Also, I want to connect it to my Cambridge Soundworks speaker system, I can do this with an optical lead I think.
Is there a scart to VGA adapter available?

I use a similar one to the one Jack linked to on my X-Box, also from Lik Sang.
Works well for what I need it for but not as good as a TV for playing games with.

I would have thought you would get a much better picture - the resuolution of a monitor is much better than a telly.
if they are not much cop I probly wont bother.
