hi,
after logging on my computer for about 1/2 hour i notice the screen flicker as if it goes off and then on again but very quickly... the whole process takes about 1 second but then it keeps doing once every few minutes .... its a Compaq 15" monitor i've had it a few years now with no probs at all before....

any1 know what the problem could be????

Cheers

Talking

It's trying to tell you to upgrade to a 17"

Edited to say... check the leads aren't coming loose. Make sure the graphics card is seated correctly in it's slot.

Question

Maybe the monitor is doing an "auto de-gaussing"?

Do you have the instructions, or maybe have a stroll around the menu settings to see if it crops up anywhere.

De-gaussing (in simple terms) demagnetises the monitor, which will cause the screen to flicker/wobble (and possibly make a twang/humm noise as if it has just been turned on).
