Could it be power-related? Checked the power pack?

I have this problem with my PC at work, although it's a much older machine.

The problems been put down to a faulty switch - but don't tell the boss cos I'm next in line for a new computer becuase of it - I told him it was the motherboard...

I had a similar problem at home that turned out to be a memory error. I used Memtest86 to sort it.

I'd check the memory too. I'd run memtest86 on it as Zanlin suggested.
