Sharing a USB CD-RW

Can a CD-RW be shared with other users. It is currenly connected on one PC and all the PC's are network. Network is running at 100mb.
Will I need to install S/W on every PC?
Do I just share the CD-RW and map the CD-RW on the individual PC's?
