Question

My ProtectedStorage service seems to have vanished completely. Not listed under services at all, and I'm getting failures for dependant services:

"The IIS Admin Service service depends on the following nonexistent service: ProtectedStorage"

I've searched but all I can find is references to NT4, not Win 2000.

Is there a way to reinstall the service? Like "pstores.exe -install" on NT?

Thanks!

For some reason a bell rings that it's related to IE 5.5 or 6. Can you try re-installing one of them?
