I spent too much time on the Internet at work on a building site, and every time I open ie it dials our Manchester office for Internet access.
Phone bill just landed. £900
I know to empty temporary internet cookies
Also delete my internet history in ie
And clear in Task bar & Start menu
Is there anything else I should clear or delete?? Please help
sorry edited to say i need to make the computer so they cant tell when or what i was on the internet ie no records
Thanks

Do you mean that you don't want to connect when you open IE?
If so, go to (in IE) Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab
And either select "Never dial a connection" (you can connect manually through the control panel when you need to) or fiddle about until you get it to work the way you want to.
£900 though, owch! :s

Are you trying to cover up the fact that it was you?
If so, you wanna make sure that you have deleted Cookies and temp internet files. Also Clear your history.
£900 is a lot of money. Is that for a month/quarter/year?

Hello
Well, they can tell it's you probably.
But you can download Window Washer ( http://www.webroot.com/wb/index.php ) this will erase all interenet activity so that even the FBI can't bring it back...
Steve.

the thing about window washer and FBI is bollox (sorry) only way to erase history is to use some thing like CIA commander/destroyer.
although i have a program called CIA Unerase that can even undelete stuff after a low level format..(or so i believe)
so "If They Want Ya , They'll Get Ya"
Phil..

To run up a bill of £900 in a month, you must have been sat in front of it all day. Unless you're the only person on said building site, there's enough people who've seen you camped in front of the monitor to implicate you and clearing the history is **** all use!

Just do some maths (and I am probally wrong )
To get to a bill of £900 for a month the number you have been dialing would have been costing £1.25 per minute and that is an average over 24 hours. If you were only connected say for 10 hours per day that would be £3.00 per hour
I am assuming you 'dialup' over a modem. Or is it ISDN?

In a building with 10 computers on a small LAN we all go on the internet all the time but i think i am one of the worst, plus i left it running for about 4 days at one point. As soon as we open up internet explorer it dials into Manchester server and gets it internet through that think its ISDN as it goes stright in no waiting.

If there are 10 computers on the LAN and yours is the only one without any Temp Internet files, history, and all the other things then that will ring alarm bells. It will be clearly obvious that you are trying to cover something up.

In your defence, I'd lay a good part of the blame for the costs squarely at the feet of your IT department.
ISDN is extortionate to run, so they shouldn't have installed this unless the configured costings on the routers. I used to be called into customers to investigate huge phone bills.
Usually the ISDN lines would come online with broadcasts or their would be no cost/time restrictions so would happily spend all day & night online.
I was even a witness in court for a client when another reseller configured ISDN connection to a remote office in Holland and it dialed every 30secs for over 6 months. They weren't too happy with their £30K phone bill.
The golden rule with ISDN is to create some rules on the routers to limit the total amount of time online or better still if they're are costings.
That way you can gaurantee no worker is gonna rack up huge bills.
