Emailing pictures

Why does it take so long to email pics from my computer? The dialogue box comes up and says "mail sending" but then sits for ages with the time bar hardly moving. Am I doing something wrong?

Depends on the size of the picture file and the speed of your connection.
Unless the size is critical, try resizing the picture before sending.
