I'm using Spamnet from Cloudmark and it seems to work when I had 70 / 80 spams a day (I've since juntked the account and now get about 3 a day )

It downloads mail from your server (can't avoid this as AFAIK as it doesn't stop stuff at server level) and then dumps spam into either a folder you specify or into deleted items folder

seems to catch most things apart from the one or two "new" ones each time

I've got it free as I got in on the beta testing stage and keep saying I'll pay later... I think it's a couple of dollars a month for the full monty version

there's other software out there which might be better but you ask a search engine about spam without being snowed under in crud...
