Looking for a new 17" TFT monitor for up to £400, and have been quoted 399 for this:-

http://www.ctxintl.com/products/lcd_pv722e.htm

Now, in reading some reviews, they said should look for a refresh of less than 16ms, but this seems to be 25 - but quotes a refresh Tr of 10 and Tf of 15 - what are these figures?

Can anyone else find me a better 17" monitor (XP pro, office, internet, some games) for the same price?

Gareth

Gareth, there was a post on here about a similar subject that I replied to, PC Pro had some good advice, though one of the fellow scoobynetters thought is was not good. Have a search for 17" tft and I am sure you will find it or let me know and I will give you the details as PC Pro stated them,
Chris.

NCD LCD1760NX is a much better screen, at the very least when it comes to gaming, with a 16ms total response time, alongside the fastest 17" response TFT's on the general market.

The 20ms response time is arguable a better and newer generation screen.

In general you cannot go wrong with a Hitachi, Samsung, Iiyama or NEC screen though.

Anyway there are basically two panels, pick the one you like the look of best based on the best panel.
