how can i get windows xp to refresh its aspi drivers?

basically it picked up my pioneer dvdr a06 when I first put the drive in, and it was working fine with nero 6.

I then installed cdrwin (lastest version), and choose to install its aspi drivers. But after doing this, my machine doesn't see my pioneer as a dvd-writer - just as a normal cd-writer / dvd reader

I have removed cdrwin but still the same with nero, not reconising my dvd-writer as a dvd-writer.

I then removed nero, but it still doesn't work.

I have also ran the batch file killaspi, but still no luck

Have removed from hardware listing and let xp pick it back up, but it just thinks it is a normal drive...

Have also tried reloading to a previous driver, but since it thinks it is a different piece of hardware option is not available

Any ideas on how to get windows xp to pick up my dvd writer, i.e. resort back to the original xp driver???

cheers cookie, will try that when I get home tonight.

Another plan I am thinking of doing is putting a "normal" cd-drive in, letting windows xp install and set that up, and then turn off, and re-install my pioneer a06, to see if that will work.

Failing that, if it doesn't, willl do what it says on the web, and then if that still doesn't work, re-install time
