Have a look at Expansys

I bought a Pretec compact flash GPS gizmo from there. Came with TomTom City Maps and Autoroute. There's loads of other options though.

Okay, thanks, just wondering if a compact flash card is better or the other type which includes a GPS module/receiver which sits on the dash, which would appear to give better reception, don't particular want to mount the pda on the dash in full view.

CB

How you gonna use it as a SatNav then? Voice instructions are pretty accurate but sometimes a glance at the screen is needed when the voice is not quite so obvious as to where to Turn Right whatever is.

Holders from Brodit.com - car specific.

I'd get a wired GPS not a CF one - 2 reasons, 1) leave it behind when you leave the car 2) you might need the CF slot for memory to store the maps on.

I was hoping to place the PDA above the heating or near the heating controls, perhaps attached to the vents or something.

mine clips around (top/bottom) of the vents, you order a specific one dependent on your car
