Question

I use my iBook with an Airport for wireless dial-up internet access, question is if I go broadband do I need a broadband router plugged into the Airport or can I configure the Airport to access the broadband connection direct?

I was considering using Tiscali but their website says their broadband is not supported on Macs, any reason why this should be so?

Si.

You need a router with your airport.Buy a cheap D-Link 504 which has a RJ11 port to attach your microfilter too.Setup goes thus:
Microfilter on ADSL line.RJ11 cable goes from microfilter to D-link router.RJ45 cable goes from D-link to airport(WAN port) and bob's your uncle.

I use a D-Link ADSL Ethernet modem 300G+ as recommended by Apple: http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObje...5.10.3.27.13.0

Has worked well with a number of service providers, haven't tried Tiscalli.

Just a thought, but if Tiscalli is so non-mac friendly, then why not go with someone else.My choice is Nildram but im sure you can make your own mind up
