Hi Everybody!

Got the above Adsl modem/switch recently.

Set it all up and its sweet.

Then decided to change the password. Did the usual type the new one in twice thingy and it starts chugging away with a progress bar saying its making the update.

half way through it stops and asks for my password. Not sure which one to use I typed on in. this did not work so I tried the other one. That one did not work either.

After a reboot neither one works.

I wrote to Netegear about this but they are ignoring me it seems.

There is a reset "hole" in the back. Does anyone know for certain if the password will be reset to nothing if I press this.

The firewall is all set up nice so I don't want to reset if it will not reset the password too.

Anyone got one of these? Can you help?

Cheers!

ps: I go this as a replacement to my Freeserve green frog modem because I could not get it to work with Linux. This item works sweetly with Linux no hassle!

I've just got one of these. The default password is 'password'.

If you 'poke it in the hole' it will most likely reset everything to how it was when you bought it. So the password will be set back to the default.
