Question

Anyone on here with any experience of creating web apps using Tomcat?

Basically, I have a link to another part of the website on a page. When this link is clicked it opens in a new window (using a bit of javascript etc). The problem is that the new window uses the same session as the old one. I need it to invoke a new Tomcat session when the window opens, without destroying the old session.

I've done a bit of a web trawl, but drawn a blank so far. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Iain

By creating a new window you're still in the same session. You need a mechanism for ending the session, but that will depend on what method you're using to maintain state. Not a Tomcat issue, but down to the app that's running under it.

That's what I was dreading. I think I may have to rethink the design a bit....

Thanks anyway
