Problem with Cookies

I've got a problem on my latop running W2000 Server - IE6. Keeps losing the cookies - i.e. you're logged in one minute, but not the next. Re-logging in (i.e. logging onto Scoobynet - though particularly on Auto Traders web site).
Re-boot solves the problem, but not for long. I'm going to try getting all the Windows Updates to make sure it isn't anything there.
Any ideas?
