Looks good to me, and I took my old 21" CRT to the tip on Saturday. Can anyone who understands these things have a look at the spec and see if it's OK for gaming please?

Its going to be a tad slow on response @ only 25ms otherwise looks good.

You want to be looking for 15-20ms response time otherwise you're dead b4 you see the man that shot you

They do the CML181XSW with a 15ms Response & the same resolution etc.

Thanks Puff. I saw this on the Scan website, and they are quoting 16ms. I have just checked the Hitachi web site and they are quoting 25ms, so I guess it's no good. At my age you need every ms you can get!

Couldn't follow the link for some reason, but had a look at the spec on Hitachi's site. I think the problem is whether you count both rise and fall times. If you do, both the 18.1" and 19" total 30ms, whereas the 17" totals 16ms, and this is what makes it fast.

I know some new TFT screens are due out any time now, and thought I had spotted one, but it seems this 19"er is not one of them (despite what Scan says about it).
