PCI USB 2.0 (via chipset) dont see USB 2.0!

got a pci usb 2.0 card but windows xp sp1 dont see it as usb 2.0?!!! the pci card is using the via chipset. m/board is asus TUSL-C (PIII 933) with usb 1.1. tried just about everything, from drivers from via, etc.
any ideas???
