ClearCube - Rack mount PC's...
#5
Ian,
yes mate they are blades....
Basically its like thin client but with the full functionality of a pc!
Currently the C-port (little box that acts as desktop) is around 2 1/2 times the size of an Ipaq.
The C-port is connected via cat 5/6 cabling which has a 200m range or fibre which has a 1km range.
The I-port runs across IP so basically like a laptop! that plugs into the same blade everytime!
HP who's techology is a fair bit behind clearcube's is quoting 45% reduction in TCO!
Got told about this last week and it sounds quite exiting but wanted to find out what people think about it???
Anyone know anymore?
