Dial-up ISP to cover non-UK countries ..

Hi,
I need to travel about a reasonable amount and when abroad in hotel rooms etc I need to plug in the old laptop to check mail etc. In ther UK this is fine but has anyone know of an ISP that covers non-UK countries? Europe specifically but outside that as well if possible.

I always used to use Compuserve, I don't know if they still function? But in the past I have been in strange countries, cutting telephone cables to connect my computer to the internet...
Although recently I just use wireless networks.

Hello
You have to be careful of AOL and PAL. My company uses PAL these days, and we incur an amazing $1 minute surcharge on top of phone calls for dialing from some countries.
AOL has similiar "premium" service rates when dialing from abroad.
