odd prob with scoobynet&connections..

Sometimes, my broadband decides I cannot connect to SN, but I can still connect to any other site I want. If I establish a dial up connection there is no problem at all. As soon as the dial up connection is closed, SN dissapears (if I refresh the page ) and I get the 404 error.
any suggestions?
I have a Dlink wiresless roter/modem jobbie - do I need to do something to the control panel of the router?
