pioneer A05 ritek disc burning problem

i have purchased some orange ritek DVD-R discs 4X. writer works perfect with datasafe & princo normal discs but comes up with write errors and won't burn to these riteks. any advice would be appreciated.

have you downloaded the latest firmware if not try it had similar problem with 106

yes tried that mate, but to no avail. firmware upgrade version 1.33 from pioneer europe. any other ideas. thanks.

Sound like the Ritek overprints to me. I thought most places had sold through their stocks of these. You have been unluck enough to find somewhere with stock left!
These disks are awful m8, typically a mix of at least 2 batches (check the codes on the inner ring of the disk)
The 'H' batches should be okay. If you have any packets unopened, send them back for a refund/exchange.
Pay the couple of pence extra for frosted top 50pk Ritek or printable 25pk Ritek
If you want a branded disk, the Datasafe are a winner also

thanks for the response guys. yes scooby dooby, they do seem to be the ritek overprints, however the code on the disc does start with H4 but still no joy with them. will take them back to the shop first thing in the morning. thanks again.

i use orange ritek discs and never had a problem with them, not had 1 coaster yet and have burned around 60 of them..

although mine is a diferent burner, i use a NEC 1300a
