I'm having trouble swapping into enemy uniforms for the covert missions. Can anyone help me out, please?

I've started playing it.... top game. Only on mission 3.... If I remember correctly in H&D1 you stole the uniforms from clothes lines instead of trying to take them from dead soldiers.

You make the Germans surrender, tie them up and roger them till they hand over the uniform 
You can't use blood stained uniforms so you can't kill them
