ASUS has a program called afudos which you can download from their site and can be used to flash a bios. If you just want a floppy disk to get you into dos mode when booting then fire up XP, put in your floppy disk, right click on it and choose Format. You can then choose an option to create a system disk which will create a startup disk to get you into dos. You then put in the disk with afudos and your new bios image and use the commands as specified by ASUS to flash the bios.
If you are trying to rebuild XP from the ground up and cant use a CD to start the installation then you need the 4 or 5 disks to get XP loaded. If you are attempting to do this then you will also (most likely) need a driver diskette for your SCSI card and hit the F2 when prompted during the setup to install mass controller or whatever its called.
Word of advice if you dont already know, flashing the BIOS can KILL your motherboard. Make sure you take your time when doing this and do it correctly.
