Whilst having a little surf I noticed you can make thumbnails in XBMP for all the album folders you have (MP3 on my PC HDD) now my only uestion to you guy's with the knowledge is ... where do you put the 64X64 foldername.tbn

do you put it inside the folder you want the thumbnail for or on the outside of the folder so you'd have for example

POP MUSIC folder

Kylie
sclub
blah blah
Kylie.tbn
sclub.tbn
blah blah.tbn

I'v got Relax working as it should now but the Mpeg/divx playback is still jumpy seem a tutorial with cach set at 8000 odd for video stream

Craig.

Not sure about later versions but on mine (XBMP v2.4) you just put the thumbs in the same folder as the media.

The tbn file must be called the same as the media file itself.

Eg. Civic TypeR.avi - Civic TypeR.tbn

Thats for video stuff anyway, not sure about Audio from memory.

The files are just jpegs renamed to tbn. So I just use PaintShop Pro to make mine

From what I can see in the manual, and haven't got my box in front of me, it says you can either put the tbn's (which apparently can be BMP's, PNG's or JPG's) either in the thumbs folder specified in your config file or in the same folder as the target folder/file.

I've had a look around and the manual only has a one liner about the thumbs. Video files look easy enough just putting them in the same folder as the media to be thumbed.

For the albums from what your saying I'll have a pile of *.tbn's at the bottom of the folder with all the albums in it.
Don't have access to my Xbox for another week so I've got a while to figure it out.

Cheers
Craig.
